Product Description
Jenkins Turkish Swan spindles are fabulous little spins, and allow you to create a centre-pull ball of singles that are ready to ply as soon as your take them off the spidle. There are two arms that cross one another, and a shaft that slides through these arms. When your spinning is complete and you have a full ball of yumminess, simply remove the shaft and slide out each arm, and 'viola' a perfect little ball ready to go! I find they are perfect for spinning in the car on long journeys, as they spin on your lap. They can also be used as a support spindle for shorter fibres, such as cotton and possum etc.
They come in two sizes, full sizes Turkish and the gorgeous, but petite, Turkish Delights. Full sized Turkish spindles have a shaft length of between 20-25cm/8-10", with the arms approx 12cm/5". Turkish Delights have a shaft length of approx 13cm/5.25" and the arms are approx 9cm/3.5".
