alpaca with a twist
Jennifer & Sean Orr first learned about alpacas while visiting the North American Livestock Exposition in Louisville, KY. What was supposed to be a weekend trip to the fairgrounds turned into a second career and more! Within 8 weeks of their first exposure to these wonderful animals, Copper Ridge Alpacas was born in Georgetown, Indiana. Since the first alpacas arrived Jennifer & Sean have put up over a mile of fencing, maintained a breeding herd as large as 38 alpacas, and have won many awards showing animals at the Alpaca Owners & Breeder’s Association national shows.
Alpaca With A Twist began in 2005. Whilst they are a new company they have some very specific goals and feel they can offer the yarn retailer an outstanding experience with alpaca. Being alpaca breeders they want their yarn to be the best alpaca can be. Their goal is to one day have as much alpaca on yarn stores’ shelves as there is wool today.
